Explore Robotics & Engineering with LEGO® Spike Prime

Brain Eating Machines empowers 4th-8th graders to build, code, and develop robotics skills using LEGO® Spike Prime educational kits. Our curriculum prepares students for competitive robotics opportunities.

We conduct in-person after-school programs in Bergen County, including Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Ho-Ho-Kus, Fair Lawn, Paramus, and neighboring towns.

Why Learn Robotics?

As robots perform surgery, drive cars, and AI assistants manage our homes, understanding robotics is essential literacy; like learning geography without becoming a sailor or biology without becoming a doctor. Students who grasp how sensors, algorithms, and machines work become informed citizens who can shape technology's future rather than simply being shaped by it.

What Students Learn

Our robotics curriculum combines hands-on robot design, programming, and innovation projects. Students develop technical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and collaborative teamwork through structured learning and competitive challenges.

Build & Design

Design, build, and program LEGO robots to complete missions on a themed playing field. Learn mechanical engineering and creative problem-solving.

Code & Program

Write programs using block-based coding to control your robot's sensors and motors. Develop computational thinking and logical reasoning skills.

Team & Compete

Work as a team to prepare for regional and state competitions. Build collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

Our Programs

We offer three pathways to explore robotics: start with foundational skills, compete with your team, or advance to professional-level robotics. Choose the program that fits your schedule and interests!

Grades 4-8

Foundations of Robotics

Start your robotics journey! Learn to build, code, and program robots using LEGO® SPIKE Prime. Build the foundational skills to tackle competitive robotics (FLL) challenges or simply explore STEM through hands-on learning. Same great curriculum, two convenient time options to fit your schedule.

After-School Robotics

📚 After-School Option

Perfect for families who want a gradual, semester-long learning experience with weekly sessions.

15 sessions across 3 modules
Weekly sessions, flexible scheduling • View schedule
Small groups, all materials included
Summer Robotics Camp

☀️ Summer Camp Option

Dive deep during summer break! Same curriculum delivered in an intensive 2-week format for focused learning.

2 weeks, Monday-Friday
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM daily
Small groups, all materials included

What Your Child Will Learn
