The 2024-2025 CENTERSTAGE season was a breakthrough year for our team. We achieved our highest competition placement ever and earned multiple awards recognizing our engineering and outreach efforts.

Robot: Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt was designed around the CENTERSTAGE game’s emphasis on pixel placement and drone launching.

  • Drivetrain: 4-wheel tank drive with high-traction wheels
  • Lift: Continuous belt lift with 28” reach
  • Intake: Dual-roller system with color sorting
  • Special Feature: Pneumatic drone launcher with 15ft range
  • Weight: 18.2 lbs (competition ready)

Design Philosophy

We focused on reliability over complexity. Every mechanism was tested for 1000+ cycles before competition, and we built spare assemblies for quick field repairs.
