Current Opportunities

Robotics Instructor

Position Type: Part-Time, Seasonal

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging robotics classes for students in grades 4-8
  • Teach programming concepts using block-based and python coding
  • Guide students through hands-on building and engineering challenges
  • Facilitate team collaboration and problem-solving activities
  • Manage classroom materials and robotics equipment
  • Communicate with parents about student progress
  • Support students in preparing for robotics competitions (if applicable)

Qualifications:

  • Passion for STEM education and working with youth
  • Experience with robotics, programming, or engineering (professional or educational)
  • Comfort working with LEGO® robotics platforms (Spike Prime, EV3, or similar)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in age-appropriate ways
  • Background check required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching or coaching experience with elementary/middle school students
  • Familiarity with Python, block-based programming (Scratch, Blockly), or similar
  • Experience with FIRST LEGO League, VEX, or other robotics competitions
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or related field

Schedule:

  • After-school programs: 2-3 afternoons per week (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
  • Weekend workshops: Occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
  • Summer camps: 2-4 week sessions (June-August, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience


Camp Counselor / Assistant Instructor

Position Type: Part-Time, Summer Seasonal

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead instructors during summer robotics camps
  • Support students with building and programming activities
  • Supervise students during breaks and transitions
  • Help manage classroom materials and equipment
  • Ensure a safe, positive learning environment
  • Communicate with parents during drop-off and pick-up

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college students encouraged to apply)
  • Interest in STEM, robotics, or education
  • Patience and enthusiasm for working with children ages 9-14
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Background check required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous camp counselor or childcare experience
  • Basic familiarity with robotics, programming, or STEM activities
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Currently pursuing degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Schedule:

  • Summer camps: 2-4 week sessions (June-August, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
